Synopsis
When a stunning Bollywood star, Rani, encounters a pragmatic and decidedly unimpressed dermatologist, Nikesh, in a confusing mix-up on a plane, she finds her superficial beauty is not enough to have an effect on him. Used to beautiful women because of his line of work, Nikesh sees only the acne scars on Rani’s face and, because he doesn’t watch films, he isn’t star-struck at all. He offers to improve her skin with one of his medical procedures which she initially rejects, until an unflattering article about her appears in a tabloid. When the procedure goes wrong, Nikesh takes Rani off to a secluded hideaway to give her skin time to heal. For the first time since an abusive relationship, Rani has to learn to show her deepest feelings rather than rely on her beauty, and Nikesh needs to re-evaluate his desire to please his mother and fulfil his duty to an arranged marriage in order to trust the authentic desires of his heart.
